Time-of-Flight principle
Time-of-flight, or ToF, is a unit of measurement for how long it takes an object, particle, or wave to move a certain distance through a medium. This data can then be used to determine the particle's or medium's properties, as well as to quantify the particle's or medium's velocity or path length. Direct or indirect detection of the moving item is both possible.
(1) Traveling objects include objects, particles, wave, and acoustic, electromagnetic, etc.
(2) Function: measure velocity, path length, to learn about composition, flow rate, etc.
(3) Methods:
Direct time of flight, dToF, it can be detected by an ion detector in mass spectrometry;
Indirect time of flight, iToF, for example, by light scattered from an object in laser doppler velocimetry.
(4) Application: It can be used in a variety of fields, electronics, estimating the electron mobility, determining the mass-to-charge ratio, near-infrared spectroscopy, ultrasonic flow meter measurement, and more.
Ultrasonic distance-measuring devices, which emit an ultrasonic pulse and are able to measure the distance to a solid object based on the time it takes for the wave to bounce back to the emitter, are one of the earliest electronics devices to use the concept.
The laser sensor series that we recently launched for the automatic door system to protect the safety of people entering and exiting is the result of the application of TOF rules in electronics. Using 890nm infrared laser as the medium, the transmitting chamber and the receiving chamber are integrated to detect whether there is a human body or object passing by within the range, and cooperate with the automatic door operator to realize the safety of the automatic door access system.
M-901, mainly used for road gate, garage door, electric door etc.
M-227L, suitable for revolving door, 90°swing door, other induction door etc.
M-220L, apply to revolving door, sliding door or inducton door and so on.
